’EZMVA’ is a brand-new compilation by 111Records, made by members of the current roster of Electronic Music and Media Arts at The University of Pécs. The most recent collection of this kind was released by Dióbél Kiadó in 2020, taking a more holistic approach in presenting 38 works by students and alumni at the time.

While a few contributors of ’EZMVA’ were present on that landmark project, most of us are new here. This 52-minute-long selection, however, sounds like something that has been maturing for a while; you rarely feel like you’re jumping from one artist’s work to another’s while listening to these 14 tracks. Across many genres and lack thereof, the album ends up as a highly coherent body of work – all compositions are part of the same lore because we speak the same language.

Hard to even pick a favorite track - they're all so distinctly stirring. Yet they coalesce into something which feels equal parts ancient and uncharted.
